What happens at the RipTide Program?
|
|
What
these early age groups need more than anything else is
learning the basic hitting, throwing, fielding and
running fundamentals required to play the great game of
baseball consistently, while at the same time learning
how to apply those skills to the game itself, where to
be, when to be, what to think and what to say.
That’s how the game is played.
The
best way to do this is to get in front of a bunch of
knowledgeable coaches and get a ton of repetitions doing
it the right way.
In short, ORGANIZED PRACTICES with many coaches
in an enthusiastic environment of many stations doing
many different things.
We’ll practice as groups, individuals and as
tournament teams.
We’ll go in the fall, winter, spring and summer,
but WON’T CONFLICT WITH OR REPLACE YOUR TOWN SPRING OR
SUMMER TEAM.
We’ll
attend three tournaments, driving distance away to
measure our progress, one in the fall to see where we’re
at, one in the spring to see what our winter work
reaped, and finally at the end of the summer to put it
all together.

Quote of the Month
|
|
"Good Character is more to be praised than outstanding talent.
Most talents are to some extent a gift. Good
character, by contrast, is not given to us. We
have to build it piece by piece by thought, choice,
courage and determination."
