The Cape Cod “SUMMER
BALL”
Youth Baseball League is a summer youth baseball
league for Cape Cod town teams ages 9-15 to
participate in after their spring season is over. This league will give teams of all ages the
ability to continue to play games
locally
against other Cape Cod town teams during the week
in the same age group during the summer.
“SUMMER BALL”
will be directed by Steve Almonte, owner of the Cape
Cod Baseball Club, and will be organized through the
Cape Cod Baseball Club website,
capecodbaseballclub.com
The teams, their coaches contact info., the
fields and directions, the schedule, the game scores
and the league standings will be maintained and
updated through this website.
The “SUMMER BALL” regular season will be played during
the month of July only on weekday nights Monday
through Friday with each team playing either two or
three games per week for four weeks for a 10-game
regular season schedule.
Each age division will be a separate division except
for the 13’s and 14’s, which will be combined to
form one age division.
The top four teams in each division will qualify for
the playoffs, which will be held on the weekend of
August 14-15, 2010, with the #1 seed playing the #4
seed, and the #2 seed playing the #3 seed in the
first round on Saturday August 14th, then the two
winners playing for the championship and the two
losers playing the consolation game for third place
on Sunday, August 15th.
You form and submit your team for entry into the
league using the attached paperwork.
You wear your own uniforms.
You play on your own town fields in accordance with
the “SUMMER BALL”
home and away schedule.
The home team is responsible for assigning umpires
according to the league’s rules and regulations.
Both teams split the cost of umpires each and
every game during the regular season.
The home team is responsible for game balls.
