2010 High School Fall Wood Bat Program
The
RIPTIDE
Developmental
Baseball Program
again looks forward to our Fall Baseball Wood Bat
Program for high school level players.
This substantive program offers a balanced
combination of games, practice and tournament play using
wood bats.
Each week on Sunday beginning September 12th for six
consecutive weeks through October 17th, we will play a
7-inning doubleheader in the morning from 9:00am-1:00pm,
at the Westwood High School baseball field in Westwood.
At the conclusion of each game, our talented
coaching staff will bring the group together to dissect
previous game situations along with observed common
hitting faults in a wrap-up skull session.
The program will conclude with our participation
in a weekend Triple Crown Sports Halloween Wood Bat
Tournament in N. Branford, CT the weekend of October
30th-31st.
This program is committed to the individual development
of each player.
Roster size is kept to a minimum, playing time is
divided equally with a continuous batting order and
every effort is made for each pitcher to throw at least
one inning each week as they are charted w/radar.
THIS PROGRAM HAS SOLD OUT EVERY YEAR.
Participation includes a six-week Sunday game
schedule, a numbered game t-shirt and hat and the team’s
tournament entry fees.
Players are responsible for providing their own
gray uniform pants and travel expenses and lodging at
the tournament.
COST $300

Quote of the Month
|
|
"Good Character is more to be praised than outstanding talent.
Most talents are to some extent a gift. Good
character, by contrast, is not given to us. We
have to build it piece by piece by thought, choice,
courage and determination."
