2010 High School Fall Wood Bat Program
The
RIPTIDE
Developmental
Baseball Program
again looks forward to our Fall Baseball Wood Bat
Program for high school level players.
This substantive program offers a balanced combination of games and tournament play using wood bats.
Our 2011 fall wood bat program consists of weekend doubleheaders every Sunday beginning
September 11th for seven consecutive weeks through October 23rd, then concludes with our
participation in a weekend Triple Crown Sports Halloween Wood Bat Tournament in N. Branford, CT
the weekend of October 29th-30th. Sunday doubleheaders will take place at Coady Field,
the Bourne High School baseball field at 9:00 A.M. on Sundays with practices at the same field
during the week. At the conclusion of each game, our experienced knowledgeable coaching staff of Steve Almonte,
talented Hitting Instructor Jesse Anderson and Sturgis H.S. and Riptide Coach Emmons Levine will bring
the group together to dissect previous game situations in a wrap-up skull session.
The program will conclude with our participation
in a weekend Triple Crown Sports Halloween Wood Bat
Tournament in N. Branford, CT the weekend of October
30th-31st.
This program is committed to the individual development
of each player.
Roster size is kept to a minimum, playing time is
divided equally with a continuous batting order and
every effort is made for each pitcher to throw each week.
THIS PROGRAM HAS SOLD OUT EVERY YEAR.
Participation includes a seven-week Sunday game
schedule, a numbered game t-shirt, a hat and the team’s tournament entry fees and expenses. Players are responsible for
providing their own gray uniform pants and travel expenses and lodging at the tournament.
